Boil Water Notice LIFTED!!
After the required number of satisfactory sample test results, we have been advised by the Vancouver Island Health Authority,
that the boil water advisory can be lifted.
You may drink the water!
Boil Water Notice and Update
The Town of Port McNeill is still on a boil water advisory until further notice.
On Sept. 13, 2021, the Town completed a chlorine disinfection of the water distribution system.
On Sept. 14, 2021, the Town is flushing the water distribution system to remove chlorine residuals.
Sept. 15-16, 2021, the Town will be sending water samples away for testing.
Two consecutive clear test results, showing the absence of E. Coli and lower levels of Coliform bacteria, are required for Island Health to lift the boil water advisory.
The Town will update the community via Postal Leaflet, Facebook and the Municipal Website as more information becomes available.
