The Regional District of Mount Waddington, District of Port Hardy, Town of Port McNeill, Village of Alert Bay and Village of Port Alice are completing a Housing Needs Report to better understand housing challenges in our region. No names are being requested or will be used or published in relation to this questionnaire. If you require more than one copy of the questionnaire for other members of your household, you can obtain a copy online at www.rdmw.bc.ca.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire! You are helping us to build a more complete picture of the housing situation in your community and the Mount Waddington Region.
Roger Brooks Community Assessment now available for viewing
It was a few short weeks ago Roger Brooks presented to a packed house at the Gate House Theatre. We had hoped to have a special evening viewing but with the COVID-19 crisis in full swing, that is no longer an option.
Since many of you may have exhausted your Netflix options we are making the full length presentation available for you to view online. Please keep an open mind as Roger Brooks shares his ideas and suggestions for what our future could look like.
As soon as the self distancing has been lifted, we will begin brainstorming sessions. The data compiled in his written report will also be included in the updating of our Official Community Plan, commencing as soon as we are able to.
Despite the current situation we find ourselves in, we still believe the future for Port McNeill is a bright one!
On behalf of Town Council,
Mayor Gaby Wickstrom
