Remembrance Day

November 11 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

“In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.”

~ Lieutenant Colonal John McCrae

Please join us at the Port McNeill Cenotaph as we take some time to remember those that gave their lives for ours.

The parade from the Legion down to the cenotaph starts off at 10:38

Spectators should gather at the cenotaph before the parade arrives at 10:45

The ceremony begins at 10:50.

Wreath laying takes place during the ceremony at 11:10. After that we do the closing hymn and God Save the King
