Town Light Up

On Sunday, December 1^st, we would like to kick off the Holiday Season with the greatest light up we have ever had! We would like to incorporate a couple different things this year, so here is the scoop on what we are hoping to achieve.

Family Movie Night

We will then kickoff our Light Up evening, with a Family Friendly movie at the Gate House Theatre at 5:00pm. After the movie, we will flip the switches at 7:00pm and turn on those lights for everyone to see.

Festival of Trees

We also encourage you to participate in the Parade of Trees! Let’s get people into your stores to check out your beautiful displays. We will take pictures of trees from all participants and advertise them on our Town Light Up Facebook page.

Light Tunnel

We would also like to do a light tunnel this year, creating a nice long walkway for people to enjoy. If this is something you’d like to assist with, we would love your support in purchasing some of the materials we need to put this together. If you’d like to sponsor an arch, please let us know.

Elf off the Shelf

We all know the tradition of the Elves on Shelves and we would like to take them on a little detour in Port McNeill this year.  Meet Portia and Mac, the newest elves to Port McNeill. Portia and Mac will appear in new locations every Saturday for people to find, and we would like to promote local businesses through this event. We encourage your participation by having specials or sales on each Saturday, enticing people into your doors. We will post clues on Saturday mornings on our Social Media page, with the intention of each business engaging with this post and sharing what deals the elves have brought to your store.
